About this role
You will lead a portfolio of health-system customer engagements (typically 3–5 accounts). You are the senior named contact, the SLA owner, and the person in the room when leadership at the customer wants to talk to a human. The role is half operational and half relationship.
What you will own
- Own the SLA, the dashboard, and the monthly business review for each account on your portfolio.
- Be the first escalation contact for the customer, and resolve, not just route.
- Coordinate the coders, denial specialists, A/R analysts, and platform engineers working the account.
- Identify expansion opportunities (additional service lines, additional locations) and lead them through to signed Order Form.
Must-haves
- 7+ years in healthcare RCM, with at least 3 in a customer-facing or account-leadership capacity.
- AAPC, AHIMA, or HFMA credential strongly preferred.
- Track record of running SLA-bound engagements at health-system or large-multi-specialty scale.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior in-house experience at a health system or hospital.
- Experience leading vendor migration projects.
Day in the life
Mornings are typically customer-facing work: a monthly review prep, an escalation call, a contract amendment. Afternoons swing toward internal coordination: working with engineering on a custom integration, with denial management on a recurring pattern, with finance on the next renewal.
Compensation
Base $130K–$170K, plus 10% target performance bonus tied to portfolio retention and expansion.
